A huge blow to terrorists as army captures key villages

Mogadishu Somali National Army (SNA) took over Jaw village from Al-Shabab terrorists in successful large-scale of operation.

Jaw is a strategic area between the cities of Guri’el and El-Bur. It’s about 55 KM east of Guri’el town in Galgadud region.

SNA command told Somali National News Agency “liberating Jaw area is massive blow to militant’s movements in the province due its location”.

“We are grateful to people’s supporting to our brave soldiers. Together we will kick out insurgents from our nation sooner,” it added.

On Saturday, SNA said it killed 43 militants in central Somalia area of Aborey which is 25 KM east of Bulaburte, a town 220 km north of Mogadishu.

Military officials say that in the recent military campaign killed more than 200 millitants and liberated 30 villages from the al-Qaida-affiliated group.
