Ada: Ms. Dornukie Naa Norteye, the New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary candidate for the Ada Constituency, has reiterated her commitment to ensure that Ada receives the needed development. Ms. Norteye emphasized her dedication in an interview, expressing concerns that Ada should have developed more than it currently has.
According to Ghana News Agency, Ms. Norteye expanded on her campaign slogan, ‘Ada Deserves Better,’ explaining that it reflects her genuine passion to bring development to the area, aiming for a level of comfort for all residents. As a native, she claims an intimate understanding of the constituency’s needs and stresses the necessity for new representation in parliament. She highlighted her efforts in improving local roads by reshaping and graveling sections needing urgent attention, a move that has eased commuter stress.
Ms. Norteye praised the government’s District Road Infrastructure Project (DRIP) for addressing road infrastructure challenges in Ada. She also prioritized the improvement
of school infrastructure, acknowledging the poor conditions that currently exist. Her commitment to development was evident, she noted, as she had been involved in social projects even before deciding to run for parliament. Encouraged by local leaders and constituency members, she took on the role to further drive development efforts.
Noting the high youth population in the constituency, Ms. Norteye called on the youth to support her, emphasizing her development-oriented vision. She urged all Ada electorates to vote for Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia as president and her as Member of Parliament on December 7, promising to bring the betterment Ada deserves.
