Advertising Association of Ghana Launches Peaceful Elections Project.


ACCRA: The Advertising Association of Ghana (AAG) has launched its 2024 Peaceful Elections Campaign Project as a commitment to ensuring a peaceful, transparent, and respectful electoral process in the country. Mr. Andrews Ackah, President of AAG, stated that the association’s project, dubbed ‘SPEAK PEACE,’ aims to help inject some level of calmness across the country. He emphasized the importance of not taking peaceful elections for granted, as they require intentional effort, mutual respect, and dedication to a fair process.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Ackah highlighted that as the lead group for advertisers in Ghana, it is crucial for AAG to promote peaceful discussions and responsible behavior during the election period. He mentioned that member agencies of AAG have been at the forefront of political campaigns, crafting messages and designing campaign creatives and advertisements for top political parties. The project also aims to create public consciousness about the need to speak peace to one an
other, emphasizing that there is only one Ghana for all.

As part of the project, the Association has designed catchy adverts for billboards, print media, television commercials, digital platforms, and radio to be published nationwide. Mr. Ackah noted that AAG is working closely with key stakeholders, including the National Peace Council, Civil Society Organizations, media partners, and community leaders, to amplify messages of peace through their privileged media platforms across the country.

He expressed the belief that through collaboration with the media and listed organizations, they can reach every corner of Ghana, inspiring positive behavior, speech, and conversations to make the 2024 general elections a success. Mr. Ackah emphasized that AAG’s commitment extends beyond just voting, aiming to create a society that benefits future generations. He urged all media houses, advertisers, and Ghanaians to join the effort to promote peace, unity, and respect throughout the election season and beyond.

itical emotions rise across the country, Mr. Ackah called for unity and respect, encouraging Ghanaians to demonstrate once again that the nation can lead by example with an election season marked by unity rather than division. Mrs. Faith Junko Edison, Public Relations Officer at the National Peace Council, commended AAG’s leadership for their commitment to promoting peace during and after the 2024 elections, urging Ghanaians to continue providing a harmonized environment for peace to thrive.
