African journalists told the Ethiopian News Agency that the Adwa’s victory is the icon of freedom, source of pride and symbol of independence for all Black people across the globe.

The Victory of Adwa is celebrated annually on the 2nd of March not only by Ethiopians, but also by black people worldwide.
Journalists from Ghana, Niger, and Senegal stated that Adwa’s victory represents independence, pride, and freedom for all Black people worldwide.
Blessed Sogah, a foreign affairs correspondent for Joy News TV in Ghana, saw the Adwa victory as a symbol of Ethiopian bravery and a ray of hope for all of Africans.
‘The victory for us symbolizes the strength that we have as African people to be resilient, to be powerful and to tell the world that this is indeed the future of African youth.’
Rahmatou Keïta, a Nigerien journalist, for her part stated that the victory of Adwa is a symbo
l of freedom and sources of pride to all African people as it heralded the end of colonization and oppression.
‘It is a victory on colonization that demonstrated the power of African people and it is a pride to all of us.’
Manager of 24 Media in Senegal, Ali Guyindo said the victory of Adwa is our common historical event that had been made by the gallant people of Ethiopians.
He commended the government and people of Ethiopia for recently inaugurating Adwa Victory memorial which is great honoring.
