Addis Ababa: Chief Commissioner of the Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission, Professor Mesfin Araya said the ongoing process of agenda gathering across Ethiopia’s regional states has been successful thus far.
Briefing journalists today during the agenda-gathering process in Sidama Region, the Chief Commissioner provided an update on the nationwide initiative.
Mesfin reported that agenda-gathering activities have already been completed in Addis Ababa and Dire Dawa city administrations, as well as in Benishangul-Gumuz, Harari, and Gambella regions.
“The agenda-gathering effort in the regions has been progressing successfully,” Professor Mesfin stated.
He further added that the agenda-gathering process work in Sidama Region is set to conclude tomorrow.
The dialogue Chief Commissioner also announced that the agenda-gathering process in the Central Ethiopia Region is scheduled to be completed within the next four days.
He also confirmed that similar activities will be carried out in the remaining regions o
f the country.
The ongoing nationwide agenda-gathering effort aims to collect diverse perspectives and issues from across Ethiopia’s regions to inform the upcoming national dialogue process, it was learned.
