Foreign Affairs State Minister Ambassador Misganu Arga stressed the importance of collaboration with stakeholders to fully utilize the investment opportunities of the country within the industrial parks.
Industrial Parks Development Corporation CEO Fisseha Yitagesu and Ambassador Misganu discussed on the ways of enhancing collaboration to attract new Foreign Direct Investments ( FDI ) in the industrial parks.
During the discussion, Fisseha stated that the two entities will cooperate on various aspects to increase the flow FDI, especially in pharmaceuticals, technology, garments and textile and agro processing sectors.
“We will work together with Ministry of Foreign Affairs to attract new FDI in the industrial parks.” Fisseha noted.
He also added that the corporation will work closely with Ministry of Foreign Affairs to attract new FDI into Ethiopia’s industrial parks and Dire Dawa Free Trade Zone.

Ambassador Misganu, on his part, acknowledged that the government’s economic reforms will greatly contribute to attract FDI.
He additionally stressed the importance of collaboration with stakeholders to fully utilize the investment opportunities within the industrial parks.
In addition, he said that the ministry should work in cooperation with other stakeholders including Industrial Parks Development Corporation to organize various international investment related bazaars to take full advantage of the good opportunities in the sector.
