AU Executive Council 46th Ordinary Session to Convene Tomorrow in Addis Ababa


Addis Ababa: Foreign Affairs Ministers and senior government officials of various African countries are arriving in Addis Ababa since yesterday to partake at the 46th Ordinary Session of African Union Executive Council. The Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ministers of Djibouti and Rwanda have arrived in Addis Ababa this afternoon to partake at this meeting.



According to Ethiopian News Agency, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Djibouti, Mahamoud Ali Youssouf, and Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Olivier J.P. Nduhungirehe, were warmly welcomed by senior officials of Ethiopia’s Foreign Ministry. The AU Executive Council meeting, which will include foreign ministers from AU member states, is scheduled for February 12-13.



This meeting will be followed by the Assembly of African Heads of State and Government on February 15-16.
