Burundian and Somali Ministers Arrive in Addis Ababa for AU Executive Council Session


Addis Ababa: Burundian Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation Minister, Albert Shingiro, has arrived in Addis Ababa to take part in the 46th African Union (AU) Ordinary Session of the Executive Council. His arrival was marked by a warm reception at Bole International Airport, where he was greeted by officials from Ethiopia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including Foreign Affairs State Minister Birtukan Ayano.



According to Ethiopian News Agency, Somali Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation State Minister, Ali Mohamed Omar, has also arrived in Addis Ababa for the session. The meeting is scheduled to take place from February 12 to 13, 2025. The arrival of these ministers is part of a larger gathering of African Ministers of Foreign Affairs who are convening in Ethiopia’s capital for the 38th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union, which is set to commence on Wednesday.
