Addis Ababa: A Jiangsu, China delegation is exploring investment opportunities across various sectors in Ethiopia. The delegation conferred with senior leadership of the Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) to enhance Ethio-China Investment Corporation.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, Zeleke Temegen (PhD) highlighted China’s vital role in Ethiopia’s development, emphasizing the government’s commitment to a favorable investment climate. The Jiangsu delegation underscored their province’s economic prowess in manufacturing and trade, expressing keen interest in deepening collaboration.
Both sides agreed to boost information exchange, promote two-way investment, and improve the business environment. Jiangsu aims to encourage its companies to invest in Ethiopia, while welcoming Ethiopian business to Jiangsu. The EIC pledged to support Chinese investors. This visit is expected to reinforce the strong Ethio-China partnership, fostering new opportunities for economic growth.
