Corridor Development Expanding to Several Parts of Ethiopia’s Sidama Region


Sidama Region: The corridor development initiative, a strategy to enhance various urban services and address infrastructure needs, has been expanding to several parts of the Sidama Region.



According to Ethiopian News Agency, apart from the regional capital Hawassa city, corridor development activities are expanding to several parts of the Sidama Region. The development in this region is being carried out in three phases, it was learned.



The initial phases have already begun in two locations, with one of the projects officially inaugurated by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and now open to the public. This newly launched corridor development includes 2.4 kilometers of pedestrian pathways and bike lanes, as well as a children’s playground and various recreational and sports facilities.
