Vienna: Ethiopia’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Tsegab Kebebew, discussed with members of the African Diplomatic Corps in Vienna. Ambassador Tsegab held discussions with Ambassador Maimounata Ouattara, Chair of the Africa Group and Permanent Representative of Burkina Faso to Austria.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing collaboration on multilateral issues, experience sharing, and engaging effectively with organizations based at the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV) to advance Africa’s shared interests. Ambassador Tsegab also held talks with Ambassador Maurice Makoloo, Permanent Representative of Kenya, where they reaffirmed the importance of African unity in addressing common challenges.
They underscored the need for stronger cohesion among African nations, sharing best practices, and leveraging opportunities at UNOV to benefit the people of Africa. Furthermore, on the occasion of the first meeting of the Group of Friends of Food Security, where Sudan served as co-chair, Ambassador Tsegab engaged with Ambassador Magdi Ahmed Mofadal Elnour, Permanent Representative of Sudan.
The two sides emphasized the need for enhanced collaboration to address food security in Africa as a priority, underscoring the importance of collective action to tackle hunger and promote sustainable agricultural development.
