DreamsDay Soccer Academy calls for community support

Mr Derrick Dwomor-Sarpong, the Co-Founder of DreamsDay Soccer Academy (DSA), has made a passionate appeal to the Adjei-Kojo Community in Tema West to support the academy’s local young athletes as they prepare for competitions.

Mr. Dwomor-Sarpong, speaking to the GNA in an interview, said that the sports team, comprising talented players aged six to 17, also serves as a symbol of hope, unity, and progress for the Adjei-Kojo community and its surrounding areas such as Kanewu, Suncity, Promise Land, and Solomon City.

‘DreamsDay Soccer Academy can make a tangible difference in the lives of young people and contribute to the growth and development of our area. Let’s come together to build a great community,’ he said.

He elaborated that the academy can positively impact the area by fostering a sense of community pride and identity, developing valuable life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and leadership, and building a strong future generation for the community.

Mr. Dwomoh-Sarpong who is also a software en
gineer, emphasised that the success of DSA is not just about winning games, but about building a better community for everyone, noting that they believed that by investing in the younger ones, they are investing in the future of their community.

He called on non-governmental organisations and the community to support the club in various ways, including patronising their games, donating to help cover travelling and equipment costs, and volunteering as coaches or mentors to help develop the players’ skills.
