Eastwood Anaba Ministries gives to Desert Pastures International School

The Eastwood Anaba Ministries (EAM), a worldwide revival ministry, has handed over a 16-unit pre-primary classroom block to the Desert Pastures International School in Bolgatanga to ensure quality early childhood education.

The Information Technology (IT) compliant school block is fitted with interactive boards, Light Emitting Diode (LED) screens, offices, a sick bay, spacious air-conditioned bistro, modern furniture and games equipment among others.

The project, valued at about GHS8million, was constructed with the support from partners including ‘Standing with Mama Rosemond,’ Fountain Gate Chapel and Kingdom Agreement (KIA) followers.

Reverend Mrs Rosemond Anaba, the Director of the school, said the present site of the pre-primary school at Daporetidongo, a suburb of Bolgatanga, could not contain the growing population of the preschool.

It was, therefore, necessary to construct the preschool block on the same ‘Wisdom Campus,’ which accommodated the Primary and Junior High School blocks.

Reverend Mrs A
naba said the project stalled due to financial constraints until the President of the EAM, with partners and friends took up the initiative to complete it.

‘We honour the collective efforts invested to bring this to pass,’ she said.

The Director, also the Senior Pastor at Desert Pastures, a branch church of Fountain Gate Chapel in Bolgatanga, expressed gratitude to the President of the EAM, partners and friends for the ‘great gesture of kindness.’

‘As you have done this for us and these little ones, may heaven also remember you perpetually.’

Archbishop Charles Agyinasare, the Founder of the Perez Chapel International, who delivered the keynote address, said the facility was a nurturing environment for young minds.

‘This state-of-the-art facility will undoubtedly provide an optimal environment for our children to grow, learn and strive,’ he said.

The preschool block was designed to foster creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, to enable the school to expand its curriculum, offer new programmes and
provide pupils with the resources they need to strive in an increasingly complex world.

He extended gratitude to the Founders of the school, Reverend Mrs Eastwood Anaba, and the school community, saying: ‘I extend my sincerest commendations to Reverend Eastwood Anaba, Reverend Mrs Rosemond Anaba and the entire school community for their tireless efforts in bringing this vision to fruition.’

The period from 2017 to 2023 had witnessed remarkable achievements, notable challenges and significant improvement in academic performance, and the introduction of innovative teaching methodologies, he noted.

Mr Rex Asanga, the Bolgatanga Municipal Chief Executive, said the preschool block was a testament to stakeholders’ collective belief in the power of education.

‘It represents not just bricks and mortar, but a beacon of hope and opportunity where young minds will grow and discover their potentials. Dreams will be nurtured, talents developed, and minds shaped for the betterment of our society,’ he said.

‘Education
as we all know is the gateway to development. It is the greatest development we can make in our children and their future, and the most powerful tool to break the cycle of poverty.’
