Addis Ababa: The Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matvienko, affirmed that the diplomatic cooperation between Ethiopia and Russia rests on a strong and unshakable foundation.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, Speaker Matvienko concluded her two-day official working visit to Ethiopia and departed today. She was seen off by House of Federation Speaker Agegnehu Teshager at Bole International Airport.
During her departure, Speaker Matvienko expressed her gratitude for the warm reception given to the Russian delegation in Ethiopia. She noted her satisfaction with the working visit and the conditions observed that ensure the diplomatic relations between the two countries remain robust, as they have been in past years.
House of Federation Speaker Agegnehu Teshager remarked that the working visit and discussions held by the Russian delegation in Addis Ababa were productive. He emphasized that the longstanding diplomatic partnership between Ethiopia and Russia is set to strengthen in the future.
