Ethiopia’s Foreign Minister, UK Counterpart Discuss Shared Interests


Johannesburg: Ethiopia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gedion Timothewos, conferred with David Lammy, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom, on the margins of the G20 Ministerial meeting in Johannesburg, South Africa.



According to Ethiopian News Agency, Gedion emphasized Ethiopia’s readiness to elevate the longstanding cooperation between the two nations to a new high. He highlighted the opportunities available in Ethiopia, particularly in the fields of trade and investment.



The discussions between the two ministers covered national, regional, and international issues of shared interest. They agreed to revitalize the strong relations between Ethiopia and the UK, aiming to work closely to promote economic growth and ensure mutual benefits for both countries.
