Foreign Affairs Minister discusses the Somali Children situation with the UN

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia, Abshir Omar Jama (Huruse) had a sideline meeting with Virginia Gamba, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Children and Armed Conflict, discussing the situation of the Somali children.

The Minister met with Mrs. Gamba on the sidelines of the conference regarding children’s affairs held in Norway.

The two officials discussed issues related to the protection of Somali children, especially in times of conflict, and the minister shared with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary for Children’s Affairs about the Somali government’s plan to protect children’s rights.
