Addis Ababa: French Ambassador to Ethiopia, Alexis Lamek underscored Ethiopia’s vital contribution to global peace and security affirming France’s commitment to working with the country to ensure regional and global stability. The French Ambassador elaborated that French President Emmanuel Macron’s recent visit to Ethiopia was instrumental in further strengthening the ties between the two countries.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, President Macron and Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed agreed to collaborate on expanding French education, preserving cultural heritage, and supporting Ethiopia’s economy. In particular, France has shown a strong commitment to supporting Ethiopia’s homegrown macro-economic reforms.
