General Secretary of Algerian NLF Party Mebarek Arrives in Addis Ababa


Addis Ababa: A delegation of the National Liberation Front (NLF) party of Algeria, led by General Secretary of the party, Professor Abdelhakim Ben Mebarek, arrived in Addis Ababa this night to attend the second congress of Prosperity Party (PP), which is Africa’s largest political party.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, upon arrival, Agriculture Minister, Girma Amente along with other senior officials welcomed the delegation at Bole International Airport. Africa’s largest political party, PP, will deliberate its second congress from January 31 to February 2, 2025, in Addis Ababa, the political and diplomatic capital of Africa.

Representatives of foreign political parties from African countries and other parties of the world are arriving in Addis Ababa to participate in this Congress. The delegations are also expected to visit prominent tourism sites in Addis Ababa including the recently renovated National Palace, Adwa Victory Memorial Museum, Unity Park, and Friendship Square, among others.

Preparations
have been finalized to successfully conduct the congress. Over 1,700 participants will attend the congress including senior, middle, and lower-level officials of the party as well as invited guests, representatives of communities, competing political parties, and 15 foreign sister political parties.
