Ghana Library Authority trains youth on employable opportunities 


Ghana Library Authority (GhLA) has organised a skills training for the youth to enhance their employability as part of the Youth Engagement Project?

Mr Patrick Kwaku Akorli, Lead Coordinator of Youth Engagement Project, speaking during the training in Tamale, said the project targeted youth of 14 to 24 years of ages.?

He said the project was being implemented by GhLA and funded by UNICEF to ensure the youth’s sustained access to quality learning, employability, and empowerment opportunities globally.?

He said the training was to prepare them physically, and digitally for the market environment empowering them to create and collaborate on advocacy related and entrepreneurial ideas.??

?Participants were taken through preparedness towards the job opportunities, entrepreneurship and how they could identify their careers.?

He advised the youth to consider current and future employment opportunities available when making career choices and said they should also identify their interests and abilities while exp
loring options.?

He entreated the youth to take advantage of opportunities in the Information and Communication Technology space to advance the global demands for technology?
