Military court sentences IS militant to 10 years in prison

Mogadishu Court of the Armed Forces on Monday sentenced IS militant to 10 years in prison after finding him guilty of being part of group activities in several areas, SONNA reported.

Abdisamad Ibrahim Omar, the sentenced member has the right to go to appeal court within 30 days if he isn’t okey with the court decision according to Hassan Ali Nur Shute.

The militant was born in Garisa county in Kenya and he joined the group at Bari region when he arrived in Somalia in 2016.

His assignment was filming terrorist fighting at Gal-gala areas in that region before he was transferred to Mogadishu and then arrested by security forces.
