Mogadishu, The Minister of Environment and Climate Change of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mrs. Khadija met with a delegation led by the Somalia representative of the UNDP, Mr. Jocelyn Mason.
The meeting was attended by the State Minister of the Ministry, Mr. Adam Aw Hirsi and the Director General, Mr. Ahmed Yusuf, the meeting was about the strengthening of cooperation between the Ministry and the UNDP.
The Minister presented the activities that are priority to the Ministry as she spoke to UNDP to support the Government’s strategy for environmental protection and climate change intervention. Also, they discussed the preparation for participation in the COP27 climate change conference in Egypt. A high-level delegation from Somalia will participate in that conference.
Finally, it was agreed to strengthen the cooperation between the two parties and to support the priority activities of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change.
