Mogadishu, The Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Ahmed Hassan Aden, received the Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, Mr. FEI Shengchao, in his office.
The Minister and the Ambassador talked about strengthening the role of the Ministry in mutual benefit cooperation between the two nations, creating a new friendly environment and cooperating to prevent illegal fishing by foreign governments in the sea of Somalia.
The Minister told the Ambassador that the ministry is working to prevent illegal fishing and the embassy needs to play its role because most of the companies that have licenses and from China, and those that do not have license from the Ministry of Fisheries are not recognised.
The minister and the ambassador also agreed to strengthen cooperation between the two sides by arranging for other meetings to complete the fruitful discussions.
