More than 86 billion CFA francs mobilized for the patriotic support fund as of June 25


Ouagadougou: The Minister Delegate in charge of the Budget, Fatoumata Bako/Traoré, indicated Monday that the Patriotic Support Fund (FSD) has mobilized, through all its sources, the sum of 86 billion 203 million 443 one thousand 477 FCFA as of June 25, 2024.

The Minister Delegate in charge of the budget Fatoumata Bako/Traoré spoke during the 2nd ordinary session of the year 2024 of the orientation council of the Patriotic Support Fund.

For her, this amount of 86,203,443,477 CFA francs represents 86.20% of the annual recovery objective which is 100,000,000,000 FCFA.

As of January 1, 2024, the amount mobilized was 55,188,741,877 FCFA and as of March 26, 2024, this amount was 55,176,696,732 FCFA.

The growth recorded in June can be explained, according to her, by the introduction of government measures aimed at making compulsory deductions from workers’ income.

Its deductions made it possible to recover 1,461,559,118 FCFA from private sector employees and 12,658,940,518 FCFA from those in the public sector,
noted the delegate minister.

‘Considering the deductions made from the services of mobile telephone and audiovisual operators, 11,350,193,682 FCFA was recovered, which represents 13.17% of the total amount of collections,’ the minister suggested.

In terms of expenses, the minister noted that 45,875,000,000 FCFA were ejected for payment of salaries of Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland. For equipment, the expenditure is 56,048,482,221 FCFA.

Looking ahead, the fund plans to pay VDP transaction premiums by mobile money. The pilot phase is planned for the month of July with the VDPs of the Center-West region, concluded the minister.
