Mogadishu, The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Hamza Abdi Barre, inspected the offices of the Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank and the General Accountant, observing the activities of these important institutions for the country’s financial system.
PM Hamza spoke with the leaders of the Financial Institutions that he visited to speed up the improvement of financial management, the protection of public assets, the country’s debt relief plan, increasing revenue, transparency and accountability.
The Prime Minister heard a report from the Minister of Finance Dr. Elmi Mohamud Noor, the Governor of the Central Bank, Mr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi and the Accountant General Mrs. Fatumo Osman Farah, and he urged them to strengthen their cooperation and their mandated duties.
