Mogadishu, The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who inspected the Port of Mogadishu, stressed the importance of speeding up the work of the Port in order to increase the government’s income.
The President visited various parts of the Port that serve the Somali people, and instructed the operators to work well for the Somali people by observing the government’s rules, and facilitate the services connected to the Port.
“Any work that used to be done has to be done differently so that we can get it
something better than what we have”
President Hassan Sheikh, pointed out the importance of the sources of production for the government, and urged the leaders and workers of the Port of Mogadishu to speed up the work of the nation to increase the production income of the country.
On their part, the Minister of Ports and Maritime Transport, Mr. Abdullahi Ahmed Jamac, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry, Mr. Sadam Mohamud and the Port Manager gave the President a report on the progress of the Port’s work and the plan they want to take to improve Port operations.
