President Taye Encourages AAU to Strengthen National Contributions

Addis Ababa: President Taye Atske Selassie has urged Addis Ababa University (AAU) to continue enhancing its contributions to Ethiopia’s overall development through education, research, and scholarly undertakings.

The University marked its first-ever alumni day celebration with the presence of President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Taye Atske Selassie, ministers, former university scholars, and art professionals.

In his address to the participants, the president urged the university to continue building upon its experience to provide even more valuable contributions to the country through education, research, and studies.

He highlighted the University’s pivotal role in Ethiopia’s higher education landscape, noting its longstanding reputation for excellence and substantial contributions to the nation through research undertakings, scholarship, and the development of essential human capital.

t at the university 49 years ago.

He honored the distinguished alumni present at the event and emphasized their ongoing role in advancing the institution and the nation.

President Taye also affirmed that the government will continue to provide the necessary support and assistance to discharge its national responsibilities..
