Prime Minister Abiy Engages in Strategic Talks with African Leaders at AU Summit


Addis Ababa: Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has been actively engaging in discussions with leaders from several African nations on the sidelines of the 38th African Union (AU) Summit. These meetings are part of efforts to bolster regional and continental cooperation.



According to Ethiopian News Agency, Prime Minister Abiy held talks with Botswana’s President Duma Boko and South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa. The discussions focused on enhancing collaboration on mutual regional and continental priorities. Prime Minister Abiy emphasized the importance of these bilateral discussions, highlighting the commitment to strengthening partnerships.



In addition to these meetings, Prime Minister Abiy also conferred with President Paul Kagame of Rwanda and President Suluhu Samia of Tanzania. Their discussions covered a wide array of regional and continental issues, aiming to address common challenges and opportunities.



Furthermore, a productive meeting took place between Prime Minister Abiy and President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo of Equatorial Guinea. The leaders explored ways to enhance their partnership across key sectors, with a commitment to deepening cooperation for mutual growth and shared prosperity.
