Bahir Dar: Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed reviewed corridor development activities in Bahir Dar city of Amhara region today and hailed the city’s stunning features.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, the corridor development has been transforming Bahir Dar into a vibrant hub of commerce and tourism, offering lessons in resilience, connectivity, and innovation. The initiative has connected Lake Tana to the city at eight points, improving recreation and airflow while showcasing how development can complement natural assets.
‘The corridor exemplifies connectivity,’ PM Abiy noted, highlighting its role in linking projects. He also urged the leadership of the city to be proactive and called for sustained efforts to embed cleanliness as a cultural norm, reinforce developed areas, and boost trade and tourism through sites like Lake Tana’s ports and parks.
Noting that the recent development activities are just the beginning in Bahir Dar, Amhara regional capital, Prime Minister Abiy further urged residents and officials to keep pushing forward.
