The government of South Korea has decided to provide a total of 7 million USD assistance to the conflict-affected and vulnerable regions of Ethiopia through international aid agencies.
The assistance aims to support the Disarmament, Demobilization, and Reintegration (DDR) program, provision of food and nutrition, deliver of emergency medical relief, and offer aid to women and children.
This support will be channeled through international organizations such as UNDP, WFP, ICRC, and UNICEF.
South Korea acknowledges the urgent humanitarian needs in Ethiopia and will collaborate closely with the Ethiopian government and relevant international agencies to ensure that the aid effectively reaches those in need.
This effort will contribute to restoring peace and stability in Ethiopia, according to South Korea Embassy in Ethiopia.
