Addis Ababa: Senior leaders of the ruling Prosperity Party in Ethiopia have visited development activities being carried out in Adama City of Oromia region today.
Since September 14, 2024, over 2,000 senior leaders of the Prosperity Party have been attending capacity-building training under the theme ‘The Power of Dreams for Progressive Growth,’ in Adama City.
The training program, launched by the Party’s President, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, aims to equip the party’s leadership with the skills necessary to tackle national, regional, and global challenges and to effectively carry out future missions.
On this day, the participants visited key development activities in Adama including ‘Ye Lemat Tirufat’ (Bounty of the Basket), a national development program, being implemented across the country with the objective to ensuring food self-sufficiency by boosting productivity and production of dairy, eggs, chicken, and honey and related products. They have also visited development efforts in the manufacturing ind
ustry sector.
During the visit, they reviewed successful projects aimed at ensuring food security, enhancing productivity, and expanding job opportunities.
The leaders specifically observed efforts in poultry and egg production, dairy production, fish farming, as well as the cultivation of papaya and avocado.
PP leaders confirmed that these initiatives have significantly benefited local citizens by increasing productivity.
They also emphasized that the observed successes in the fields of development and productive industries are vital to ensuring national prosperity and will continue through joint efforts.
