Helsinki, The Minister of Environment and Climate Change of the Federal Government of Somalia, Khajida Mohamed Al-Makhzoumi who is on a working visit in Finland met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and discussed the bilateral relations of Somalia and Finland, establishing partnership on the front of Climate Change and the support of the Finish Government in Somalia’s recovery.
“It was a delight to meet with Finnish Foreign Minister Haavisto in Helsinki. We discussed, among other issues, our bilateral relations, establishing a strong partnership on the front of climate change, and Finnish support for Somalia’s recovery efforts”, Minister Khadija said.
The Minister received an invitation from her counterpart on a four-day official visit as she meets officials from different sectors of the Finish government to have talks on addressing climate change in Somalia.
“I’m honored to be here in Finland on this four-day working visit, following an invitation from my Finnish counterpart, Minister Ohisalo. I look forward to productive discussions and hope that our talks will pave the way for greater collaboration in addressing the challenges of climate change”, Khadida said.
