Somalia, Kenya discuss security, trade and traffic cooperation

The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of the Republic of Somalia, H.E Hamza Abdi Barre, held a meeting with the President of Kenya William Samoei Ruto in Dar es Salaam, they discussed the strengthening of relations and cooperation in the areas of security, trade, and traffic between the two countries.

The Prime Minister and the President agreed on the importance of the war to eradicate the Al-Shabaab militant group, which is a threat to the overall security of the region, and the re-opening of borders which is important for the flow and trade between the two countries.

Prime Minister Hamza discussed with President Ruto the facilitation of visas, which was agreed to be completed through meetings scheduled for both parties.

Based on the development and empowerment of the youth and the promotion of education, President Ruto has accepted from the Prime Minister that the Kenyan government will train 1000 teachers who will teach the different levels of education in Somalia.
