Sports for Change Foundation, a philanthropic organisation dedicated to empowering children and youth, has extended its support to the Central Regional Command of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) in enhancing service delivery.
The Foundation views the act of saving humanity, particularly aiding distressed individuals, as a shared responsibility, a moral imperative and a civic duty that should be upheld with utmost reverence.
Through the collaboration with esteemed partners, the Foundation contributed items such as computers and its accessories to the Service.
Nana Ayensu, the Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, said the items were a benevolent gesture from its esteemed partners based in the United States one of whom is a firefighter.
They are Nieves Law Firm, Dr Jamonique Harrison and Adrian Harrison, the firefighter.
Nana Ayensu noted that the Foundation was committed to providing additional support to enable the GNFS to respond to emergencies promptly and effectively, thereby fulfilling t
heir mandate of serving and safeguarding humanity.
Situated in Abreshia within the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem Municipality, the NGO aims not only to educate students about sports but also impart crucial life skills for holistic education.
Students are given instruction on personal hygiene, interpersonal communication, and essential sports techniques.
Upon receiving the donated items, the Regional Commander ACFO1 John Amarlai Amartey expressed gratitude to the Foundation and its benefactors for the generous contributions.
He assured that the resources would be utilised for the intended purposes and called on corporate Ghana to support the GNFS with logistics to aid their work.
