The Takoradi Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints has organised its bi-annual conference, with a call on believers to grow in their service to God and stay on the Lord’s covenant path.
They are to read the Bible daily, pray and listen to the prompting of the Holy spirit to grow well in the Lord and always become great witnesses for Christ, in all places and in all things.
The conference was on the theme: ‘Keeping our Covenants with God.’
Mr Samuel Oppong, the Stake President of Takoradi Ghana, urged the Church to be willing to live the gospel with all tenacity.
Sister Janet Beck Helland urged the Church to be part of the 99 sheep helping the shepherd to find the lost sheep and said anytime a soul was won, believers through love, care and proper attitude help keep that soul in the body of Christ.
President Jacob Helland the Takoradi Ghana Mission President told the congregation that God was willing and able to help anybody that came to him.
He therefore encouraged believers to be
motivated in their service to God.
The conference saw 13 brethren ordained as Elders in the church and Two high PriestS.
Over 800 church members from eight local congregations in Takoradi attended the conference.
